Returns and Exchange Policy

Please read our return and exchange policy carefully to avoid any misunderstandings or issues with your return.

To request a return or exchange, please email us at contact@bahiaboemia.com so we can give you the correct instructions.

From the date you receive your parcel, you have 14 calendar days to request an exchange or a refund and ship your package. After this period, we cannot offer a refund.

 

Exchanges

The exchange process can take up to 3-4 weeks, depending on how long it takes us to receive your shipment. You can see how your shipment is progressing with the tracking number received when you make the request. Please note that we have to receive your shipment, review it and prepare a new order. If you are in a hurry to receive the exchange, we recommend that you make a return and place a new order. This process is faster. 

 

Return Conditions

We simply ask that the following conditions are met:

• Items must be in their original packaging, with tags and hygienic protection intact

• Items must not have been worn, washed, or altered in any way

Please make sure to put the bikinis in their matching pouches when you make the return.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to carefully check the items before sending them back.

This refusal of withdrawal due to hygiene rules is based on legal grounds, specifically Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, which states that the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for goods that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons.

We hope this never happens and take steps to prevent it. However, if you receive a swimsuit with a manufacturing defect or damage, please contact us at contact@bahiaboemia.com.

 

Shipping Method

You may choose your preferred carrier. However, ensure the package is delivered directly to our facility (not to a pick-up point).

We do not accept parcels requiring payment on delivery. Please label your shipment as a “return of merchandise” to avoid customs fees.

We strongly recommend keeping proof of shipment from your carrier. Without it, store refound cannot be issued if the parcel is lost.

 

Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are your responsibility. We do not cover or reimburse them.

If you request a refund, the initial shipping cost is non-refundable, and the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.

If you choose an exchange, you only pay for shipping to our warehouse - we cover the shipping back to you.


Customs Fees

Our warehouse is located in France. If you are returning an order from outside the EU, customs duties or import fees may apply. These charges must be covered by the customer to complete the return.

 

Refound Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation once it’s done. Depending on your bank, the refunded amount may take 3-5 business days to appear.

 

Sales Items

Items purchased on sales cannot be returned.

 

Unclaimed or Refused Parcels

If a package is unclaimed or refused by the recipient, it will be returned to Bahia Boemia. In this case, a fee will be deducted from your refound to cover return shipping costs. Between 20-80€, depending on destination and weight. This corresponds to the fees charged by our logistics partners. We may charge you the exact cost billed by the courier. This in non-negotiable.
